Katy, 3 year old female
Beautiful Katy, a healthy, exuberant 3 year old, was too
much for her “mom” to handle after her “dad” had to go into long term care.
Katy has discovered a whole new world in her foster home with 4 large golden
brothers and six sisters. No longer the queen of the castle, Katy has
adapted to the concept of sharing attention and toys, not being quite so
vocal, and eating the whole bowl at one time. She has also had to adjust to
stairs without carpeting and being more active outdoors rather than lazing
by the air conditioning registers.
Katy is extremely attentive and intelligent, watching and listening to all
that goes on. She also can be a bit stubborn and timid when she is not happy
about being told where to go or what to do. She is not yet a good car rider
although with practice she would probably come to love rides as she likes to
take in all the sights and sounds. Our two rides to our home and to the vet
were met by a lot of panting and drooling because she was so unsure of what
was happening to her.
Katy has perfect house manners. She does not grab or mess with things that
are not given to her as toys, she sleeps soundly through the night, and she
can wait a very long time between trips outside to do her duty. She does not
try to get on the beds or furniture and she walks on a leash without pulling
although she does need to be held close when loud cars or trucks drive by
too noisily as it excites and frightens her. She is still slightly over her
ideal weight and prefers nice leisurely walks in the cool of the morning or
in the shade.
A home where Katy could get lots of attention, love, reassurance, and lots
of good play time and exercise would be ideal. She is not at all aggressive
toward other dogs but would be perfectly happy to have her only dog status
back.
This “diamond in the rough” could easily be the most beautiful golden female
we have fostered with a sweet face and a lovely long blond coat. She
deserves a lot of happiness since she had to leave the only family she has
known since she was a small puppy. Her intelligence could be used to
advantage in any formal training and her confidence could be boosted by such
a regimen. If you can provide Katy a joyful and active home she could be
your attentive, drop-dead gorgeous, and most faithful golden companion. For

Red, 3-4 year old male
We called him "Big Red" because he is a 90 lb "Gentle
Giant". If you are looking for a Golden that is always in your face and
never leaves your side you will love this guy. What he has in quirks he
makes up for in his personality and presence. He walked right into our house
as if he had always lived here and was immediately a part of the family. Our
2 dogs had no problems accepting him. He just has that everyone loves me
Golden way about him.
Red was picked up as a stray so there is no life history for him. He is
housebroke crate trained and has some training with basic house manners. A
home that has already had some kind of basic obedience training would be
very helpful for him. He will need some training with his new owners for his
happy greeting behavior and the fact that he thinks commands are optional
when he is with someone that has a weak presence. For being such a big dog
we were pleasantly surprised how nice he walked on a leash.
He has not been cat tested or kid tested. Because of his size he would not
be a good dog for people with small children. This guy is just a big happy
Golden.

Bella, 2 year old female
Bella is back!
Bella, a petite gal, who came to GRRRR originally after being adopted
from a shelter by an elderly woman, who simply couldn't handle such a
young Golden's activity. She was adopted by a family and now she is back
with GRRRR. Her new owner had a 4 foot fence and brought her back to us
due to fence jumping. Her current foster home has a 6 foot fence so
fence jumping hasn’t been an issue at all. She has had no problems with
us even with jumping inside. She has been baby gated in our laundry room
a number of times when we were gone and has always been behind the gate
when we returned.
Bella isn't really very high maintenance, she is simply happy, all the
time! She loves toys, fun and play. The more activity she has the
better. If you are looking for a running or jogging companion, this
little girl has the energy for it.
Bella has learned, however, that she does have an "off" button, and can
settle quietly in the house. She has had some obedience training, and of
course, as with all dogs, would benefit from more. She is food motivated
which should make training a bit easier. Bella is working on her leash
manners. She is house trained.
While at our house Bella has had a chew toy and has chewed it and
nothing she shouldn’t. We have been careful not to leave any tempting
items out since she still has a lot of puppy in her. She is almost to
that magic age of maturity, but not quite! When she has been loose in
the house for short periods, there have been no problems.
Bella and her foster sister love to scoot around the yard, hiding behind
trees, and then dashing out at one another. Bella loves for you to throw
a ball or other toy, although she doesn't always return it to you, but
she is learning.
Bella was exposed to cats in her first GRRRR foster home and just
ignored them. If you have a cat that runs, she very well might chase it,
but would turn tail and run if the cat threatened her!
This petite, young lady needs a home that will continue her training and
provide outlets for her fun-loving, energetic spirit. At this time,
Bella would fit best with older children due to her energy and not
knowing her own space yet.
Bella is a good option for families who want Golden Spirit but in a
smaller package!
