What can you do with a rescue Golden?  One of the things you can do is request an ILP registration with the AKC -- and then you can compete or show in certain classes (e.g. Obedience, Agility, Rally).  Our very own Morgan Daily (officially GRRRR Midwest Morgan to the show ring) and his mom, Kathy, have gone through the obedience ring and earned the coveted CD - Companion Dog title.

From her new Mom: Willow is doing really great. She is such a sweet, sweet girl. She made an immediate connection with our Riley, and they are now inseparable. She loves going outside and being able to run. I believe that they run a few miles every day, around and around our house. 

We’re planning to start obedience classes as soon as it gets a little warmer. She does like to run if she thinks I’ll chase her, especially if I’m trying to get her into the house. She’s such a “hoot”. She still “talks” to anyone who comes over, and to us every once in a while. Willow is definitely a winner, and we look forward to many good times with our Golden kids. I’m including a picture of our babies and I’ll keep you guys posted on how she is doing.

Thanks to all of you Golden Volunteers for the very special work that all of you do for these babies. I’m sure you don’t hear it enough that it’s so appreciated by the Goldens and their adoptive parents.
