Lola, adopted by the Farnen family
From her new mom: Here is Lola with her adopted sister Peyton taking over the bed. They are becoming great friends. She keeps Peyton from missing our black lab Kelsey so much.
Lola is quickly learning to swim thanks to new big sis Peyton. She fits right in!

Sky, adopted by the Garman family
Shilo (now Ellie), adopted by the Bouten family
I always thought I knew what love was but I was wrong. Over the last week, our new family member (Ellie a.k.a Shiloh) has completed our family's dynamic and showed me a new level of love and commitment. I was taken with the love at first sight bug, as anyone who met me over those few days could vow, but it just keeps growing. On our daily 2-4 mile walks, passers always say that Ellie is grinning and well behaved. I like to think that she's happy here, since we have surely been blessed with her in our family. As she's curled up on my feet right now, I just cannot say enough wonderful things about Ellie. Our lives have been touched by this wonderful gift, and we cannot thank GRRRR enough for the opportunity to grow up with this wonderful Golden!! Thank you again, A doting new mom :)

Madison, adopted by the Docking family
My mom is SO pleased with Madison. It seems as if they were meant to be together! Madison is going for lots of car rides, and seems to enjoy it! Madison LOVES it when visitors stop by, and she is a gracious hostess, giving ALL visitors a chance to rub her belly...such a giver! She is also content to be home with mom and keep her company. Mom said that Madison's favorite thing to do is gardening! She'll help her plant flowers, and she carefully sniffs them without stepping on them! My mom was VERY impressed with that! They seem to be a perfect match!
Our whole family, including Madison, thanks you for all of your hard work in getting her ready for her new home.

Simon, adopted by the Burts
From his new mom: I wanted to drop you an update on Simon (formerly known as Simon - We kept his adopted name).
He's awesome.
He's about 70-75 pounds so far and still growing.
His personality is great. He's great with the kids. He responds well to commands and has lots of energy.
We take him to the dog park frequently and he loves to run and run and run.
In the past 6 weeks he's mastered turning sharp corners while running hard. Previously he would get "rolled" by other dogs because he wasn't coordinated enough to trust his legs when turning quickly.
Luckily we have a pretty large yard so we can use the chuck-it to play fetch.
He loves to play catch but his favorite game is to play "catch the ball" on the slide.
He takes the ball and gets on the bottom of the slide. He then wants you to roll the ball up the slide so that it comes back down at him and he likes to catch it that way. He can do this for hours. This is the only time I worry about OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). There is a picture of Cameron and Simon playing on the slide.
He's so funny to watch when he's alone in the backyard.
When he can't convince one of us to come out and play catch with him, he will play catch with himself. We have a hill in our back yard so he'll take a ball to the top of the hill, let it go and then chase it down the hill, catch it, and bring it back up the hill to the top and repeat.
He still gets car sick a little. He starts to drool a lot but he hasn't thrown up in a while. I hope he outgrows it. If not, we just drive around and the kids cover up with beach towels. The things we do for our pets.
Simon also has 3 kitties he shares a house with. 2 - 6 month old kittens and one 1 1/2 yr old cat. They all get along pretty well. They are still feeling each other out at times but most of the time they just ignore each other.
It's funny, the cats have raised him and there are times he acts and plays just like a cat. He just doesn't realize he's 100 times bigger than them.
He also has 4 other great dog friends. two goldens and 1 Australian ridgeback and one combo dog. They come over frequently for "play date" visits. It's very interesting to see that he plays with all the dogs differently. One he wrestles with, two he runs with, and the other they lay around together. Such interesting personalities.
As you can see by the pictures he's turned into and fine, handsome guy.
Thank you for all the love and attention you gave him. we are thrilled to have such a well adjusted and friendly family pet.

Fancy (now Gracie Mae), adopted by the Brunos
We just want to thank everyone for allowing us to adopt Gracie (formerly known as Fancy). We took her from her foster family, Dan and Cheri Mumaugh. It was a very hard decision to pick one. All the puppies they were taking care of were so sweet. After what seemed like hours, we choose Gracie. She has become a wonderful addition to our family. She is as calm as can be. That is so important when you consider we have children ages 5, 8 and 11. Don't get me wrong, she can keep up with all of them, but has the patience of a Saint. She loves to "steal" things from all over the house, but is not destructive. She easily returns the taken item. Gracie is now doing very well with her crate training. She sleeps soundly all night. She is also going to the backdoor when she has to be let out and responds to the phrase, "You wanna go out?". We are now tackling "sit" and doing very well. Our kids keep repeating over and over to me, "I can't believe we have a dog". I can't believe it myself. We feel so lucky to have her as part of our family and we think she feels the same way. We all want to reassure you that she will be taken care of and loved for the rest of her life.
