HOW YOU CAN HELP

Golden Recovery Retrieving Retrievers Rescue Midwest (GRRRR), a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation, seeks to provide loving, caring homes for Goldens in need. GRRRR relies on its volunteers who give selflessly of their time, talents, energy, and homes. To help as many Goldens as possible, we need your help and the help of everyone out there who loves Golden Retrievers as we do.

Foster homes are always needed. Click here to learn more about fostering and here for our foster home application. Even if you are not able to adopt or foster, there are many ways to help with Golden rescue. Whatever your talents and abilities are, we welcome your contribution! Most of our volunteers live in Missouri, Kansas, or Northern Arkansas, but others are welcome to help as well. Our volunteers do such things as:

Conducting home visits as part of the adoption approval process
Educating the public about responsible pet ownership
Participating in local public events so other people can meet our foster dogs and learn about adopting or fostering
Transporting dogs to vet or grooming appointments, and longer distances from surrendering homes to foster or adoptive placements
Visiting local shelters and humane societies regularly to identify Goldens who might be eligible for our assistance.
Helping with fundraising efforts
Thinking up new ways to help the dogs!!

If you are a groomer, veterinarian or obedience instructor and would be willing to donate your time, expertise and services, that would be a wonderful help! Whoever you are, whatever your skills, we can use your help!

Our most immediate needs are for suitable foster homes and for the time and talents of volunteers.

Cash donations enable us to handle the veterinary and grooming and material needs of the dogs we rescue. Some dogs need more than the "basic" vet care, and we need to know we have the funding to help them, too.
